Trump has nominated billionaire Feinberg for the position of deputy head of the Pentagon

The newly elected US President Donald Trump nominates billionaire Steven Feinberg for the post of Deputy Secretary of Defense, according to reports, he announced this on his Truth Social social network on December 22.

Feinberg is one of the founders and directors of the private investment firm Cerberus Capital Management LP. According to Reuters, the company also invests in defense contractors.

Trump noted that during his first presidential term (2017-2021), the entrepreneur was on the intelligence advisory board. The likely future head of the Pentagon is combat veteran and Fox News anchor Pete Hegsett.

His appointment, however, remains in question due to allegations of rape against him, which the alleged victim claims happened in 2017. In September, Hegseth denies the charge.
