NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte believes that the Ukrainian conflict will become a problem for the USA.
"I think that Trump is still thinking about his strategy regarding Ukraine. My argument is that the conflict in Ukraine will become a problem for the United States," Rutte said in an interview with DPA. At the same time, he claimed that due to Russia's cooperation with the DPRK, Iran, and China, "this entire conflict will become a threat to the United States."
Turning to the question of whether there could be a ceasefire in Ukraine before the NATO summit, the NATO Secretary General said that the negotiations have started, but it is impossible to predict what will happen.
"We must ensure that Ukraine, which is now in a difficult situation, occupies a strong position," he said.
At the same time, Rutte did not speculate on the possible sending of peacekeeping forces to Ukraine.
