The servicemen of the State Security Service will be included in the compensation system established by law, ensuring equal conditions and universal equality of rights in the field of defense. The draft was published on the "e-draft" platform of legal acts.
According to the current law, compensations for damages caused to the life or health of servicemen are extended to employees of the defense sector. The new draft proposes to include in this framework also the servicemen of the State Security Service, ensuring that they enjoy the same rights.
The project derives from the amendments to the law "On compensation for damages caused to the life or health of servicemen during the defense of the Republic of Armenia" adopted on October 24, 2024.
These changes require aligning government decisions to include all eligible groups.
With the adoption of the project, the servicemen of the State Security Service will have equal rights in terms of compensation, without additional financial burden for the state budget. This regulation is intended to protect all service members, regardless of the nature of their service.
The project was developed by the RA State Security Service, taking into account the priorities of the systemic development of the national security bodies.
