The White House named the main threats to US national security

The outgoing administration of US President Joe Biden considers competition with China, the threat of Iran and the conflict in Ukraine to be the main threats to US national security, said White House adviser Jake Sullivan.

“If you look at the strategic level, then the determining factor for the world for the next 10, 20 and 30 years is competition with China... Then the most urgent issue is Iran and its proxy groups,” he told reporters at a briefing.

According to Sullivan, between these specified threats to US national security lies the conflict in Ukraine and the “threat to European security.”
