The film "Monsieur Aznavour" telling about the life and activities of the famous French-Armenian singer, chanson, songwriter, poet, writer, film actor and public figure Charles Aznavour will appear at the Armenian cinema. The initiator is "Paradiz" film company.
On November 17, the closed premiere of the film will take place in the "Moscow" cinema with the participation of the film's creative team.

The music legend is played by Cesar Award winner and two-time Golden Globe and BAFTA Award nominee Tahir Rahim, known for The Prophet, Napoleon and "The Moorish" with his outstanding roles in the films.
The film is directed by Mehdi Idir and Gran Cor Mallard. They also wrote the script. "It is particularly exciting for us that Aznavour was the sponsor of this project and gave us advice. Both he and we were interested in the same thing: to tell about his journey, struggle, cooperation with Edith Piaf. Charles loved our movie The Patients.
He always tried to give opportunities to young people. It so happened that he died on the day when we were going to start filming the movie "Msyo Aznavour". We've read everything: his two autobiographies, his public speeches, listened to all 1200 songs, watched all the documentaries, all the interviews. We were also lucky enough to use his archives and communicate with his relatives and employees, with whom we established a very trusting relationship," said directors Mehdi Idir and Gran Cor Mallyard about the film.
"I once went to one of his concerts. He literally stunned me on stage. Despite his age (he was over ninety years old), his energy simply increased throughout the concert; it was incredible.
He surprised the audience with his sincerity and established friendly relations with them. Charles made his own way, often having to make sacrifices. All the complications made him stubborn and forced him to strive for success," says actor Tahir Rahim.

The film was released in 2024 in France.
It will be presented to the Armenian audience with Armenian dubbing. Aznavour was voiced by actor Khoren Levonyan. The other heroes of the film were voiced by actors Samvel Topalyan, Babken Chobanyan, Sos Janibekyan, Tatevik Ghazaryan, Narine Grigoryan, Ruzanna Hakhnazaryan and others. We should add that the film will be released on December 5.
