SHAMSHYAN.comAccording to information from the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, a criminal case has been initiated in the 5th Garrison Investigation Department of the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia on the grounds of suicide.
As reported byphotojournalist Gagik ShamshyanThe aforementioned proceedings were initiated on August 25 following the discovery of the body of 23-year-old Artak H. in the barn of a house in the town of Vardenis, Gegharkunik region.
According to the photojournalist, at around 11:25 that day, Artak H.'s body was discovered hanging from a rope in the barn by his relative, who lowered him down, then called an ambulance and tried to provide assistance until the doctors arrived. However, the ambulance doctors who arrived pronounced him dead.
The duty group of the Vardenis Division of the Main Department of the Community Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia arrived at the scene, then the investigators of the Vardenis Division of the Gegharkunik Regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, and when it was found out on the spot that the deceased was serving in the N Military Unit of the Republic of Armenia Ministry of Defense under the Defender of the Fatherland program, the information about the incident was transferred to the 5th Garrison Investigation Division of the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, from where the investigation group arrived.
According to the photojournalist, the deceased sent a message to his relative before committing suicide, which specifically read: "I apologize for my actions. I don't want to live in this world of stone."
According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic doctor, no signs of violence were found on the body. The photojournalist reports that the deceased served in the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense, but before resorting to such an extreme step, he had returned home from service a few days ago.
