Chairman of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan and deputies of the "Civil Contract" faction Sisak Gabrielyan and Taguhi Ghazaryan have initiated changes to the law on the anthem of the Republic of Armenia, which are aimed at establishing unified and short versions of the anthem. The project is in circulation on the website of the National Assembly. The purpose of the project is to establish a single, official recording of the anthem performance, which will be used during international sports, cultural and other events.
This change will eliminate the currently available versions, ensuring clarity and uniformity. The project emphasizes a short version of the hymn, which will be useful in events where time constraints need to be met.
The bill authorizes the government to officially approve the shortened version, bringing it into line with the official version of the anthem's music and lyrics. The bill also plans to amend the anthem's text to end with the following quatrain: "Look at him in three colors One token of grace, Let him beat the enemy, Let him always win." Armenia".
It is noted that this version has already been used at some events and has been positively received by the public. The initiative will make it possible to clarify the cases of using the official version of the national anthem and its short version, defining more clearly the procedure for using the national symbol.
