The design of the Apple logo on the new iPads may change. Apple product designer Molly Anderson said this in an interview with the French Numerama website.
On new tablets, the bitten apple logo can be turned upside down, so it will look more correct when the user holds the tablet horizontally.
According to Anderson, users use iPads both vertically and horizontally, so Apple is considering changing the design of the logo, but no final decision has been made yet.
Moving the front-facing camera and Face ID sensors to the top of the iPad has already made it easier to use the tablet horizontally, especially when using the keyboard. However, the location of the logo is still oriented for vertical use of the device. Despite the discussion of this idea, it is unclear if the logo change will be included in future iPads, and if so, when exactly it will be done.
