As of now, no decision has been made regarding participation in COP29.
RA Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan said this in a conversation with journalists after the Government session, adding that discussions are underway in this direction. Let us remind that the COP-29 summit will be held in Baku on November 11-24.
It should also be noted that the decision to hold the UN Climate Change Conference in Azerbaijan was made last December, just 3 months after the large-scale Azerbaijani attack on Nagorno Karabakh and the depopulation of Artsakh. the decision was made thanks to the official support of Yerevan, in return for which Baku agreed to release 32 Armenian prisoners of war.
