Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili told how Donald Trump asked his opinion about his candidacy for the post of US President, reports First Georgian Channel.
“Donald Trump said to me: Misha, what do you think if I run for president again?” I replied that, in my opinion, you have very good chances,” Saakashvili wrote on the social network.
As the former president of Georgia noted, Trump then told him that no one around him believed in such possibilities. “In 2013, after my presidency, I was in New York when Michael Cohen called me and said that Donald wanted to talk to me, and gave him the phone. Donald asked where I was. I told him that I was in New York and if you wanted, you could visit me. He promised that he would visit me in Williamsburg, and on the way he asked: “What would you say, Misha, if I ran for president again?” I replied: You know my opinion on this matter, we have talked many times, of course, I think your chances are very good.
He replied: “As far as I know, no one around me believes that I have such an opportunity.” I girded him and told him not to believe them. Then he said to Mikhail: you see, you see, I told you that Misha also says that I have chances,” writes Mikheil Saakashvili.
