NDTV reported that two tankers belonging to the Shipping Corporation of India crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, heading for India.
"According to the sources, the operation was carried out with great caution and with the help of Iran and other regional countries. The transition of Shivalik and Nanda Devi became possible as a result of a series of negotiations between the leadership of India and Iran in the last few days," the TV channel reported.
Yesterday, India's Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways spokesman Rajesh Kumar Sinha announced that another Indian-flagged tanker, Jag Prakash, carrying gas oil from Oman to Africa, had also left the Strait of Hormuz.
