Lebanese President Joseph Aoun announced his willingness to start negotiations with Israel to stop the attacks on the territory of the republic, as a result of which more than 400 people have been killed since March 2.
"We reaffirm Lebanon's willingness to resume negotiations with Israel and discuss the necessary security measures to prevent this dangerous escalation," the head of state emphasized, according to the president's press service.
He condemned "those who seek to drag Lebanon into a regional conflict, ignoring the will of the majority of its citizens, who are tired of wars and their consequences."
