Abrupt and complete withdrawal from coffee can lead to deterioration of health. Nutritionist Irina Pisareva stated this in an interview with "Вечерняя Москва" newspaper.
According to the expert, completely giving up coffee can have unpleasant consequences. The nutritionist explained that headache, drowsiness, irritability, decreased concentration and gastrointestinal disturbances may occur in the first few days. These symptoms usually last for four to five days, after which they gradually disappear.
The specialist emphasized that giving up coffee can be beneficial over time. According to him, sleep improves, anxiety decreases, mood normalizes, and sometimes even blood pressure stabilizes. Pisareva noted that about a month after giving up coffee, the energy level is restored.
