China consistently declares the inadmissibility of the use of nuclear weapons and the prevention of nuclear war, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said at a briefing on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the press office of Russia's foreign intelligence service reported that Great Britain and France are preparing to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine. According to SVR, the plan of the European countries is that Kiev will be able to demand more favorable conditions for the cessation of hostilities if it has a nuclear bomb or at least a so-called "dirty" bomb.
"I am not aware of the relevant situation. In principle, China consistently declares the inadmissibility of the use of nuclear weapons and the need to strictly adhere to international obligations on the prevention of nuclear war and the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons," Mao Ning said in response to RIA Novosti's request for comment on the SVR statement.
