On the night of February 22, almost 300 attack drones were launched in the direction of Ukraine, most of them Shahed type, as well as about 50 different types of missiles. Most of them were ballistic. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky wrote about it in Telegram.
According to him, attacks were made on Kyiv and its region, Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Nikolaev, Odesa, Poltava and Sumy regions.
Zelensky reported that one person was killed and eight others were injured, including one child, as a result of the strike in the Fastov region in the west of Kyiv region. The main target of the attacks was the energy infrastructure. residential houses were also damaged, there was damage to the railway.
"This week alone, Russia has used more than 1,300 strike drones, more than 1,400 guided aerial bombs and 96 different types of missiles, including dozens of ballistic missiles, against Ukraine," Zelensky noted, adding that Moscow continues to invest more in strikes against Ukraine than in diplomacy.
