According to India's Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, India and the United States intend to introduce an interim trade agreement in April, according to The Economic Times.
According to the minister, the interim trade agreement between India and the United States is likely to come into effect in April.
Goyal also noted that India's free trade agreements with Great Britain and Oman are likely to be implemented in April, and the agreement with New Zealand in September. As previously reported, a three-day meeting of Indian and American officials will begin in the United States on February 23 to finalize the legal text of the interim trade agreement.
