US President Donald Trump has not yet made a final decision on striking Iran, but the US military is ready to do so this weekend, CNN reports, citing its sources. According to one source, the president has, among other things, expressed both his support for and opposition to striking Iran in private conversations and asked the opinions of his advisers and US allies.
The TV channel reports that on February 18, a meeting with high-ranking officials was held at the White House.
Moreover, on the same day, the special envoy of the US president, Stephen Wittkoff, and the businessman, Jared Kushner, informed Trump about the indirect negotiations with Iran that took place on February 17. Earlier, CBS also reported that the US administration is considering striking Iran this coming weekend.
