Iran is determined to fully and quickly implement the strategic partnership agreement with Russia in all fields. This was announced by the President of the Islamic Republic Masud Pezeshkian during a meeting with the Minister of Energy of Russia Sergey Tsivilev.
"We are determined to quickly and fully implement this document. In all previously agreed areas, including cooperation in transport, energy, oil and gas, agriculture, food industry, defense and security, the process of implementation of agreements is proceeding at a good pace," Pezeshkian was quoted as saying by his press service.
After negotiations held in the Kremlin on January 17, 2025, Russian and Iranian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Masoud Pezeshkian signed a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement for a period of 20 years, with automatic renewal for subsequent five-year periods.
The agreement covers all areas of bilateral cooperation and opens new horizons in various fields of cooperation, including defense, counter-terrorism, energy, finance, transport, industry, agriculture, culture, science and technology.
