Rustem Umerov, secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, stated that progress has been made in the Geneva negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, the parties have clarified a number of issues, while others require further coordination.
Negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine took place in Geneva on February 17-18. The Russian delegation was headed by Vladimir Medinsky, assistant to the President of Russia.
The US President's envoy Steve Wittkoff and the son-in-law of the US President, Jared Kushner, also participated in the meeting.
"A number of issues were clarified at the Geneva meeting, while others require further coordination," said Umerov in a conversation with the press after the negotiations. Umerov described the negotiations as meaningful but tense.
