As a result of an explosion in a church in New York state, five people were seriously injured, according to the police.
Law enforcement agencies have not revealed the cause of the explosion, but they say that there were reports of the smell of gas before the incident, and that there are currently "no signs of foul play."
The incident took place at the Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Boonville. "All five people are currently in a serious but stable condition. The church suffered catastrophic damage and is considered destroyed," said the security officers, noting that one of the injured was a clergyman, and the others were firefighters.
