"Iravunk" newspaper writes:
"Austrian Kathpress wrote that the Episcopal Assembly of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church is starting today in St. Pölten, Austria, in which about 30 bishops will participate, while Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II and other bishops will participate online.
Referring to the format of the meeting, the director of the Publishing Department of the Holy Etchmiadzin Mother See and "Vache and Tamar Manukyan" Matenadaran, Reverend Father Ararat priest Poghosyan emphasizes that the main and preferred form of participation is to gather together, but in both the pan-Christian and Armenian church traditions, remote participation or the combined format has also been accepted. - This phenomenon is justified both by the experience of the early Church and the traditions of later centuries.
Since the apostolic period, authoritative church figures have conveyed their positions in correspondence, while in prison, exile or forced isolation. Such written testimonies practically had the value of congregational voice and legal position.
