Vladimir Zelensky announced on his Telegram channel that the situation in Ukraine is difficult after Russia's retaliatory strike.
"About 400 drones and 29 different types of missiles, including ballistic missiles, were used," he wrote.
Zelensky also announced that targets in 12 regions of Ukraine were struck. On February 17, the Russian military retaliated against Ukraine's defense enterprises and energy infrastructure used by Ukraine's armed forces. According to the Ministry of Defense, the forces used drones and long-range, ground and air-deployed precision weapons.
