Iran's Foreign Ministry said that before the negotiations, the US had a meeting with the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ismail Baghai, announced that the US met with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), before the negotiations with Iran.


"This morning, the American side held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman and the General Director of the IAEA. Iran's position on the nuclear issue, the lifting of sanctions and the scope of the future agreement was presented to the American side," Baghai said, according to the Iranian IRNA news agency.


On the eve of the negotiations, an Iranian source told RIA Novosti that Tehran outlined its "red lines" for negotiations with the US. dialogue only on nuclear issues, Tehran will not give up uranium enrichment, and regional issues and Iranian missiles are not subject to dialogue.


He emphasized that Tehran is ready to discuss US proposals only within the framework of issues related to Iran's nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions against Tehran.
