Hungary and Slovakia become the United States' new main allies on the European continent, while relations with Germany and France remain cold. This opinion was expressed by the American NBC TV channel. Observers of the TV channel note that during the recent speech of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the Munich Security Conference, although he spoke warmly about Washington's long-standing European allies, relations with them "remain cold".
"Rubio's further actions after completing his participation in the conference can be interpreted as a clear signal about who the Trump administration considers its true allies in Europe," they believe. NBC reminds that Rubio went directly from Munich to Bratislava, where he met with the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, and then went to Budapest to meet with the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán.
