At least two people were killed in a suicide bombing in northwestern Pakistan

At least two people were killed and 14 others injured in an improvised explosive device explosion in the northwestern province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, The Express Tribune reported, citing the police. An explosive device planted on a parked motorcycle was detonated near the Bannu district police station.

The dead and wounded are civilians, and there are no casualties among law enforcement officers. On Monday, terrorists operating in the province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa blew up a bridge in Tank district. Highway traffic was disrupted. Additional security forces have been deployed in the areas affected by the attacks to support counter-terrorism operations in the state. These operations in northwest Pakistan continue after the February 6 terrorist attack in Islamabad that killed more than 30 people.

It was found that the organizer of the attack was connected with the terrorist group "Islamic State" (banned in Russia) and was trained in Afghanistan.
