The Czech news agency ČTK reported that Ukraine received about 4.4 million large-caliber bullets as part of a Czech initiative to supply ammunition purchased from third countries at the expense of Western countries.
In 2024, 1.5 million bullets were supplied within the framework of the initiative. In 2025, Ukraine received 1.8 million large-caliber bullets. About 20 countries have joined the initiative. In total, donor countries collected 100 billion kroner (approximately 4.6 billion dollars).
According to the agency, the Czech Republic invested no more than three billion crowns (approximately $140 million). In the implementation of the initiative, the Czech Republic mainly cooperates with Denmark and the Netherlands. After February 24, 2022, the Czech Republic offered to buy ammunition for the armed forces of Ukraine from third countries at the expense of Western countries.
