Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud discussed the development of trade, economic and other ties, as well as the Middle East peace process, in a telephone conversation.
"The foreign ministers discussed in detail the prospects of further strengthening of Russian-Saudi multilateral ties. They emphasized the importance of maintaining a high pace of political dialogue between Moscow and Riyadh, as well as intensifying joint efforts aimed at the development of trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian cooperation," it is reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"They exchanged ideas on a number of urgent issues of the international and regional agenda, focusing on the Palestinian-Israeli peace process, the situation around Iran and the situation in Yemen," the ministry added.
