"Hraparak" newspaper writes:
Yesterday, the ruling faction discussed the issue of electing the chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Healthcare, then voted for the candidates, but the vote failed.
Let's remind that after the forced resignation of Hripsime Hunanyan, two candidates were nominated for that seat: Trdat Sargsyan, a member of the State Legislature, and Vanik Ohanyan, a member of the Health Committee. Although Ohanyan from Vanadzor won more votes than Trdat Sargsyan as a result of the voting, according to the party's charter, he did not receive the vote of the majority of voters.
In other words, many did not participate in the voting. And a small number of deputies participated, because most of them are already in a suitcase mood.
According to all, new elections for the chairman of the commission will be announced and new candidates will be nominated or re-nominated.
