The Washington administration believes that Ukraine is in dire need of funds to maintain the military equipment provided by the United States. This was reported by the Pentagon's security cooperation agency, which is responsible for the supply of weapons abroad under intergovernmental agreements.
"Ukraine urgently needs to strengthen its capabilities to maintain the high operational readiness of vehicles and weapons systems provided by the United States," the department's statement said.
It also specifies that the US State Department has approved the possible supply of military equipment spare parts to Ukraine in the amount of 185 million dollars.
