Pakistan will participate in the dialogue between Iran and the United States aimed at de-escalation of tensions. Tahir Andrabi, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, informed the PTV channel about it.
According to him, Pakistan was invited to the Iranian-American consultations, and Islamabad's position "will be taken into account during the negotiations."
As a source in diplomatic circles told the Dawn newspaper, the participation of the Pakistani side "is seen as a crucial factor in reducing tensions, as Islamabad is working behind the scenes to support the negotiation process."
The source added that Pakistan's position will probably be presented by Ishaq Dar, the country's foreign minister, during the upcoming meeting.
