The Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned the EU ambassadors in Tehran

In response to the European Union's decision to recognize the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC, the elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces) as a terrorist organization, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited the ambassadors of all the European Union countries accredited to the Islamic Republic to Tehran to express their protest. The official representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghai, informed about it.

"All EU member states that have embassies in Tehran have been invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the complaint of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been delivered to them in writing, but this is the minimum step," he said during the weekly briefing.

According to Baghai, Iran is considering a number of other countermeasures against the European Union, and the final decision will be made in the coming days.
