The president of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, ordered to publish the names of the people who died during the recent protests and riots in the country, reports the president's staff.
"The President's office published the names of 2986 victims of the recent events. The list was compiled from names prepared by the country's forensic system and adapted to the system of the civil registry organization.
All the victims of the recent events were the children of this country, and no mourner should remain silent and helpless. Every Iranian is Iran for us, and the president considers himself the guardian of their rights. Unlike the enemies of this land and historical enemies who consider individual lives as numbers and numbers and try to gain their political advantage by adding them to the eyes of the Islamic Republic of Iran government, the victims of these tragic events are not just numbers, and each one of them represented a society and a world of connections. Every Iranian is Iran for us, and the president, based on his moral duty and the covenant he signed with the nation, considers himself the guardian of their rights. Our beloved Iran stands by the families who are now mourning their loved ones.
The total death toll from the latest events, as previously announced, is 3,117.
Based on the policy of transparency, accountability and accountability, the names prepared by the president's order and the forensic medical services of the country and adapted to the system of the civil registry organization, the list of 2986 persons will be published in the annex. The discrepancy between the 131 persons and the previously announced statistics is due to the anonymity of several persons and inconsistencies in the registration of national passports of several victims in the system of civil residence acts, which will be presented immediately after making changes to the additional list.
We hope that with unity, compassion and efforts to address the victims of the recent tragic events, we will see the return of greater calm and stronger national solidarity in our beloved Iran," said the statement from the Office of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
