President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Russia has stopped the exchange of prisoners because it does not think that it is useful for them.
"The Russians stopped the process. They are not very interested in exchanging people because they don't think it is useful for them.''
He added that according to the Russians, the exchange of prisoners is more important for Ukraine than for them.
The last time the exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia took place in the fall of 2025. On October 2, 185 Ukrainian soldiers and 20 civilians were released from Russian captivity.
