Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Pezeshkyan

According to the statement of the Public Relations Department of Turkey, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, had a telephone conversation with the President of Iran, Mesud Pezeshkyan. The bilateral relations between Turkey and Iran and the gradually intensifying military tension in the region were on the agenda.

According to the statement, Erdogan expressed Turkey's willingness to play a role in mitigating tensions between Iran and the US and contribute to solving the problem. It was also noted that Erdogan will receive Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Arakhchi in Turkey.

Let's remind that earlier the British newspaper "The Guardian" wrote that against the background of Iran-US tension, Erdogan proposed to organize a video conference between US President Donald Trump and Iran's President Mesud Pezeshkyan.
