Zelensky. Ukraine did not receive anti-aircraft missiles because Europe did not pay for them

Ukraine did not receive the next batch of anti-aircraft missiles intended for the "Patriot" systems from the USA, because the supply was not paid for by the European countries within the framework of the PURL program. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky informed journalists about it. "24 Channel" broadcasts his words.

"The USA does not provide us with missiles for free. It can be treated in different ways. Europe pays them. The tranche under the PURL program was not paid, and the missiles were not delivered," he said.
Zelensky added that recently there were situations when Ukraine did not have anti-aircraft missiles at all.

The PURL program was launched on July 14, 2025 by US President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. According to that mechanism, NATO allies acquire weapons for Ukraine from US reserves.
