As a result of the heavy blizzard in the USA, the number of victims has reached 85, the Associated Press agency reports, referring to the data provided by the authorities of the states affected by the elements.
Earlier it was reported about 73 victims. It is noted that about half of the deaths occur in the southern states of Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana, which are not used to severe winter conditions.
Deaths reported as a result of adverse weather have been caused by, among other causes, hypothermia, carbon monoxide (shmol gas) poisoning, and accidents involving automobiles, sleds, and snowplow equipment.
