US officials said that the talks on Ukraine in Abu Dhabi were positive and constructive, and it is expected that the next round of meetings, scheduled for February 1, may take place in a more friendly atmosphere, the Wall Street Journal writes.
"They (negotiations held in Abu Dhabi) took place with hopes, positive and constructive logic. The two delegations showed mutual respect, respectful attitude and friendly feelings, and at some moments they even seemed like friends," the newspaper quoted the officials as saying.
The Wall Street Journal notes that "a more friendly atmosphere is expected in Abu Dhabi on Sunday."
