The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has appointed Mykhailo Brodovich as Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia. This position is vacant from 2022.
According to "Европейская правда", the appointment decree was published on the website of the President's Office. Mikhail Brodovich has been working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since the 1990s.
In 2015-2022, he was the Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovenia. In March 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recalled Ambassador Igor Dolgov from Georgia, and in June dismissed him from his post. The Prime Minister of Georgia stated that he does not see any reason to change the country's position on the issues that prompted Ukraine to recall its ambassador, and that Kiev should reconsider its position.
