Japan will study the possibility of joining the "Peace Council" founded by former US President Donald Trump. A high-ranking representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan informed Kyodo Agency about it.
The representative of the Foreign Ministry noted that Japan did not participate in the founding ceremony of the "Peace Council", stressing that a decision was made to study options for further steps on the matter, including Tokyo's possible participation or non-participation in the council.
The founding ceremony of the "Peace Council" took place on January 22, within the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos, with the participation of Donald Trump. The document was also signed by the leaders and representatives of Azerbaijan, Argentina, Armenia, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Hungary, Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Morocco, Mongolia, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Paraguay, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Uzbekistan and self-proclaimed Kosovo.
