"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:
Reacting to the resignation of Hripsime Hunanyan, the chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Health Affairs, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan stated that Hunanyan's move "speaks of his high human values".
"Politics is a very responsible activity, there are mistakes, but the most important thing is to have the courage to address them and respond correctly," the minister noted during the briefing, adding that Hunanyan's resignation is a step worthy of appreciation.
However, this announcement caused a controversial response in the public sphere, considering the serious incidents that happened in the health system in the past. In particular, the corpses of our Armenians who died in the 44-day war of 2020 were dumped on the ground in sacks in the Abovyan morgue in inhumane conditions.
This unacceptable treatment of corpses caused widespread public outrage.
But after that scandal, the Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, did not take political responsibility, did not submit his resignation, and limited himself only to apologizing, not accepting personal responsibility for the systemic error.
Such display of double standards on the part of the minister is not honest to say the least."
