Turkey has started negotiations on joining the defense agreement (pact) formed between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The American "Bloomberg" news agency, referring to its sources, reported that the negotiations are still in the preliminary stage, and the possible agreement between the three countries has the potential to change the balance of power in the Middle East and beyond.
Meanwhile, some Turkish media, referring to the international press, note that the negotiations on the tripartite agreement are almost finished and the process will become official in the first quarter of 2026. Official Ankara has neither confirmed nor denied this information.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense refused to comment on the media's request. In the same way, the relevant authorities of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia did not respond to the publications spread in the international press.
