Vladimir Zelensky does not support US President Donald Trump's position on Greenland joining the United States.

"Regarding Greenland, I emphasize once again that we, and especially I, respect Denmark. And we respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity. I really want America to listen to Europe through diplomacy. I think it will be like that. And I really believe that there won't be any serious threat," he said, answering journalists' questions. His words were quoted by Novosti.Live.

Trump has repeatedly stated the need for Greenland to join the United States. During his first term, he offered to buy the island, and in March 2025 he expressed confidence that it could be annexed.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller previously questioned Denmark's right to control the island.
