US President Donald Trump has expressed confidence that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will cease to exist without the political measures taken by him.
"I have done more for NATO than anyone else. I think that NATO would not exist today without me. I convinced the bloc's member countries to agree to take on defense costs of 5% of GDP, instead of the 2% they were not paying.
I have done much more for NATO than any other American president. We will see what will happen later," the American leader said in a conversation with journalists in Florida.
