US President Donald Trump has stated that Ukraine has irreversibly lost a significant part of its territory in the fight against Russia. The head of the White House made this statement on Monday, January 19.

According to him, returning territories to Ukraine is no longer part of the agenda, and Washington is now focused on preventing a flare-up after the end of the conflict. The US president also announced the start of large-scale work with European allies to create a new system of security guarantees.

"Frankly speaking, they have already lost territories. The space is lost. As for security guarantees, we are working on it together with Europe. Europe will be an important part of this process. We are working to ensure that the war does not resume," the US president emphasized.

The American leader also added that "there is nothing beautiful or good" in the war, and its outcome is practically impossible to predict, reports MK.
