The incident took place in the state of Maharashtra on Tuesday, January 13. 103-year-old Gangabai Sakare was considered dead because he stopped moving and breathing. Oversee the preparations for his funeral. the next day she was dressed in a new white sari, stuffed with cotton in her nostrils, and her limbs tied according to tradition. However, soon the cousin of the "deceased" noticed that he started moving his toes.

When the cotton was removed, the 103-year-old woman "came to life" and took a deep breath. Mourning turned into a celebration because everyone remembered that the day of his "death" coincided with his birthday. "In an instant, grief turned into celebration. The hearse was sent back, and the funeral tent was quickly dismantled," NDTV wrote.

Neighbors now call Sahara a "living miracle," and people from surrounding villages flock to her home to see her "resurrected" at her own funeral.
