What does the "Trump Path for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) program envisage, the main points of which were published in the joint statement made yesterday by RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington. If we comment very briefly, then, as it was clear since August of last year, when TRIPP was announced, the Pashinyan junta has agreed to large parts of Armenia's sovereign territory for 100 years, hundreds, maybe hundreds. also thousands of square kilometers to be handed over to the administration of the USA. The RA government plans to offer the United States 74 percent of the shares of the specially established TRIPP Development Company, and to keep 26 percent for itself for an initial period of 49 years. That TRIPP Development Company, i.e. the US, will be granted the exclusive right to “PLAN, DESIGN, DEVELOP, BUILD, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN multi-modal transit infrastructure”, i.e. rail and roadways, “CONTRACT WITH CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES, OPERATORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS, generate and collect infrastructure revenues from operation, MANAGE THE TRIPP ROUTE AS PART OF AN INTEGRATED SYSTEM."
"Development rights may include, but are not limited to: Rail infrastructure - tracks, terminals, stations, rolling stock facilities, Road infrastructure - highways, roads, bridges, tunnels, Energy infrastructure - power lines, oil pipelines, gas pipelines, Digital infrastructure - fiber optic networks, Support infrastructure - administrative buildings, utilities, security and defense systems: In accordance with RA legislation." These infrastructures cannot be located only in Meghri. It will most likely refer to the whole of Syunik.
The clause of the exclusive rights given to the American side is particularly noteworthy, according to which the TRIPP Development Company can independently "sign contracts with construction companies, operators and service providers". Is there any doubt that these contracts will be signed, in particular, with Turkish or Azerbaijani companies? I think it will be like that. And all this enormous construction, infrastructure and territory will be managed and managed by the USA through the TRIPP Development Company, while the reservation "in accordance with RA legislation" is a mere formality, because RA will have only a 26 percent share and will not be able to show practical objection in any matter, even if patriotic forces come to power one day.
It is also clear that during the construction works to be carried out in Syunik, Armenia will be flooded with a large labor force consisting of Turks, Azerbaijanis, as well as elements of other nationalities and religions, a part of which will settle in our country and will not leave again, which is a key component of the plan of Azerbaijan and Turkey. Our enemy states will pay any price and do everything to keep that foreign mass from becoming naturalized on the soil of Armenia.
Let me remind you that the population of Meghri region, including the cities of Meghri and Agarak, is only about 10,000 people. What will happen to the demographics and security of Armenia, let everyone conclude for themselves. According to the same statement, the TRIPP Development Company, i.e. the USA, may "engage Private Operational Security Personnel" in its work. In simple terms, American military units will be stationed in the south of Armenia and on the border of Iran under the name of "private security companies". This point is extremely dangerous not only in terms of the sovereignty of Armenia, but also in terms of radically disrupting and spoiling our strategic relations with neighboring and bordering Iran. Let's not forget that Russian border guard troops are stationed in Meghri.
It is not difficult to predict the consequences of the coexistence of Armenian, Russian and American armed forces in Syunik, on the border with Iran and Azerbaijan. One day that situation will inevitably explode, and Armenia and the Armenian people will suffer from its consequences. I should also note that the publication of additional points of the TRIPP program in Washington at this very moment is largely due to the desire of the Trump administration to exert additional pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran. And the time chosen for us simply could not be worse, because these days the USA is openly threatening to strike Iran. And at that same moment, RA is preparing to hand over its border infrastructures with Iran, along with their territories, to the USA and allow the deployment of American military personnel there.
Well done, Pashinyan, well done, CP for such a head-turning "diplomacy". Only the price of such a "masterpiece" may be the dismemberment and elimination of Armenia. It remains only to understand how they will try to package the handover of Armenian lands within the framework of legality and constitutionality. Expropriation of sovereign territory is a state crime, no matter how beautiful, contrived and false reasons it is committed.
PS I criticized the TRIPP program in August of last year, right after it was announced in Washington (08/09/2025). My oral speech was titled as follows: "Not for 99 years, not even for 99 minutes, no government has the right to "delegate" the sovereign territory of Armenia." I put the link in the comments field, and the following lines I wrote in his brief explanation remain valid: "The absolute majority of the Armenian people is against giving anyone a corridor through Syunik. The corridor handed over to the USA for 99 years will never be taken back, so it should not be handed over. The person who handed it over should be held accountable.
Just half a day after the shameful Washington agreements, the Islamic Republic of Iran, through the representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and adviser on international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, officially warned that the southern part of the Republic of Armenia, which will be "outsourced" to the United States, will "turn into a graveyard for Trump's mercenaries" and that Iran will not allow the creation of any such corridor, by any name.
In other words, there will be a brutal war between the most powerful forces on the territory of the Republic of Armenia. This is what peace Nikol Pashinyan brings to the people of Armenia from Washington. 08.08.2025 may go down in history as the day of the first division of the Republic of Armenia and the colonization of Syunik, if the Washington agreements are not canceled."
