It can be said that the people of Armenia were destined for an almost historical event: one complete, relatively quiet Sunday. The reason is quite instructive. suddenly it turned out that the country can live without shocks, nervous outbursts and artificial tension in the conditions of Pashinyan's physical absence.
And the renegade members of his communist junta and the dissident archbishops who joined them, it seems, still do not have enough "weight" and self-confidence to take upon themselves the courage and responsibility to disturb the peace of the whole country so rudely and brazenly. Without a "leader", the noise and chaos died down significantly and spontaneously.
And how much calmer, predictable and humane our daily life would be if Pashinyan would finally and irrevocably leave the state and political arena, taking with him the regime of constant stress imposed on us.
We should hope that it will be so, and after his removal, among other issues, the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II will continue to hold office for many years, without the illegal coercion of the government and without anti-church and anti-Armenian reformist occupations and repressions.
However, there is no need to fall into illusions. "Giving" the Armenian people a quiet day probably won't be free. It can be said with almost certainty that in the near future we should expect new attacks, provocations and harassment, both towards the people and the country. Let's be calm and ready.
