After the occupation of Artsakh, Azerbaijan continues to destroy the memorials dedicated to the victims of the Artsakh liberation struggle. The Geghard Foundation is sounding the alarm. Another victim of vandalism was the monument dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Great Artsakh and Patriotic Wars in Khndzristan village of Askeran region.
It is noteworthy that the Azerbaijanis especially target the monuments symbolizing the victories of the Armenian people and the statues of national heroes. The main goal of Azerbaijan is to "cleanse" the entire territory of Artsakh from Armenian identity and culture.
