In the Gegharkunik Marz Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee, the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings initiated in connection with the case of the murder of a 3-year-old child in Tsapatagh has been completed. In the course of the preliminary investigation, it appears that factual information was obtained that the father of T.O., with the motive of revenge, on October 27, 2025, with the intention of illegally depriving the life of a helpless minor child who is his close relative,
He killed him by squeezing his throat with his hand in the middle of the field adjacent to the Tsapatagh settlement, then after hiding the body in different parts of the field, he moved it to the middle of the field adjacent to the intersection leading to the Jil settlement of Chambarak community, where the body was found on November 2, 2025 as a result of search and rescue operations.
An external examination of the corpse was carried out, during which bodily injuries were found in the head region of TO's body. According to the conclusion of the forensic examination of the corpse, the death of the 3-year-old child resulted in mechanical suffocation as a result of compression of the neck organs with blunt objects.
A public criminal prosecution was initiated against A.O. in accordance with Article 155, Part 2, Clauses 3, 5 and 9 of the Criminal Code (murder of a helpless person, a minor by a close relative). Arrest was applied to the latter as a preventive measure.
The criminal proceedings were sent with the indictment to the supervising prosecutor, with a request to confirm it and send it to the court for examination on the merits.
