The government of Iran has planned to increase military spending by 200% in the new draft budget for the next year of 1404 on the Iranian calendar (starting on March 20, 2025, on the Gregorian calendar). This was announced by Fatemeh Mohajerani, the official representative of the Cabinet of Iran.
"In the draft budget, which should cover all the country's expenses, care has been taken to meet the country's defense needs. In this regard, we witnessed a significant increase in the military budget by 200%," Mohajerani said at the press conference.
